Finally, if you’re only planning on “dipping your toes in the water” to see what affiliate marketing is all about, do not sign up for the premium membership. The free membership is more than enough for you to see what it’s all about. Premium membership should be reserved for those who are actually serious about building a real business for themselves. If you aren’t in this for the long-haul, there is no reason to waste your money.
Hi Craig, I’ve recently signed up for wealthy affiliate and have upgraded my account to premium (I have been a premium member for 5 days now). I am now beginning to think that Wealthy Affiliate really isn’t what it is set out to be. It is very shady of them and unethical to gradually persuade people into promoting their own platform and having control over their domains and websites.
If you want the full story, you can check out my about me page (it’s a pretty cool story if I may say so myself). The short version is that I got started with affiliate marketing back in 2009 and was able to go full-time in 2011. I now own more than a dozen websites in several different niche industries. You can see a listing of most of my sites at RogersConcepts.com.
Ray, As Malcolm pointed out, WordPress hosting simply means the servers have been optimized for the platform. WordPress can require a little extra care to improve its security and performance, but most any shared hosting plan can accommodate it. If I were to recommend one budget host it would be SiteGround. You can set up a few installs on one of their basic plans and support is quite good. If you’re serious and willing to spend a bit more, Flywheel is a fantastic option from a performance, security and support standpoint, but you’d be limited to one site. My 2 cents.
His personal email address is "firstname.lastname@example.org". However, he check email only one time in one week, where as he check is WA account everyday and reply to his all referrals there on time. We also try to reply comments here within our website around 1-2 days. So, it is better either you contact us here using this comment section or contact him within WA using WA private message section.
That is no longer true. You can now use their hosting platform and WordPress installer, you no longer have to register a domain at a separate domain site like godaddy.com. They have updated some things and added some great new tools. I do respect your opinion, but there are still lots of people becoming successful from what is being taught at Wealthy Affiliate especially when they start getting into niches they are really interested in. Wealthy Affiliate is not perfect, but there is nothing out there that is. It isn’t for everybody, but if you definitely want to get the basics and some great tools, WA is definitely a great place to start.
I’ve found with WA that it does give a good way to get people started in networking and building relationships. It’s a sound way of also learning the principles of affiliate marketing, where it’s done right and ethically. I do agree the platform itself is outdated and has been for some time. It’s ideal for those that are new, but doesn’t really serve a purpose for experienced marketers
Affiliate Network is the process where publishers/affiliates can generate income by promoting products or services of companies which offer affiliate programs like eBay, Amazon, JVzoo, Jimdo and so on. In other words, the Affiliate Network is a business that acts an intermediary between publishers/affiliates and affiliate programs (programs which offer people the opportunity to earn commission by selling their products and services). Affiliate Network helps affiliates/publishers find and participate more easily in affiliate programs which are suitable according to their website niche so that they can generate good income just by promoting products or services of other companies for which they don't need to have their own products or services and don't need to bother with shipment or delivery of products. Everything will be done by affiliate programs. The publishers/affiliates just need to promote those products and provide the unique affiliate link of those programs within their website to promote them so that when someone click those links from those publisher's website and buy the products in that affiliate programs, publishers/affiliates can earn commission completely in passive way. Affiliate Network is the best legit and passive way to generate good income online on regular basis.
Also referred as Commission Junction, CJ is a large affiliate network offer affiliate programs for a wide range of popular and well-established organizations. This program acts as the intermediary between the merchants who will provide the products to sell and the affiliates who will do the marketing. This program is very advantageous as it provides very many affiliate programs at the same place.
Promoting WA is one of the most crowded and competitive niches one could hope to tackle, and yes, even if someone did manage to rise above the rest, it would likely take 12-18 months or more. And even then, you’d still be outranked by most of WA’s other website properties and social media profiles. BY promoting the WA Bootcamp so aggressively, WA is able to bolster its authority even further by facilitating so many inbound links coming from sites indexed for their keywords.
There are no guarantees in life. We are saying people can earn at least $500 per month after 4-5 months working with Wealthy Affiliate and $3000 per month after 1 year because that is how 90% of members in Wealthy Affiliate have earned. So, it is not guarantee but just a practical data. Now it is up to you either you want to be the part of it or not.
Hi Malcolm, this is going to be very entertaining. I myself am an ex-WA member and yet I am still listed as a “premium member”. I created a fake log in to check out some things and this was one of them. You’ll find that the reason Kyle claims to have this many people he follows is because it is a figure that has accumulated over the years but at least 50 – 70% of them are actually not even there anymore. Make the most of your time there incognito because you only have a week before they isolate you from chat and commenting. I look forward to your follow-up posts.
Really don't understand this guy. He wanted help with his site so he goes into it trying to get free help by joining the free trial meant for begginers wanting to try Wealthy Affiliate. So when he gets in there it sounded like he was rude to the people trying to give him advice pertaining to the question(s) he was asking. If he knew everything he claimed he knew he should have went for the paid membership that gave him access to much more that he could have went through himself. But because he didn't get his questions anwered he thought to make Wealthy Affiliate pay by writing it on Ripoff report. The guy sounds bendictive an imature which probably shows in his website.
The problem with that platform is they yes you’re correct, make it look so easy but it’s actually hard to rank and stay in the competition, are you creative, does your content have exciting captivating information or is it just education and knowledge? Speak to your audience like you’d have a one on one conversation with somebody else, that’s how content should be and truly picking real facts that help people with a problem they’re having, on average one article or post takes a few days to a week to publish.
If you do decide to promote Wealthy Affiliate, there are additional perks. For example, anyone who sells 299 subscriptions from January to December gets invited to the Wealthy Affiliate Super Affiliate Conference. There is no way to get into this conference unless you make 299 sales. Absolutely everything is paid for from the flight to the hotel room to entertainment and AMAZING food. Here’s a quick video I made showing some of the highlights.
I know there are no guarantees in life and I am by no means an expert but with market saturation and even with countless niches/products/ideas what is the guarantee that a newbie like myself will make a successful monthly income of say even US$500 per month much less $3000. Put another way what can go absolutely wrong if I follow all the lessons (which may not be all that original)? Also in affiliate marketing do we get guarantees on choice of product, platform and also we have overheads (small as they are comparably to other businesses) do we make clear profit above these overheads?
After wasting a solid two hours going over their model and deciding whether or not to give it a shot, I have come to this conclusion: what they are trying to get you to believe is that all you do is click a few buttons, give ‘em access to your checking account, and you will be able to move to Belize and languish on the beach forever while your website deposits a couple grand into your bank account automatically every month. Who WOULDN’T want that job?
This blog is very helpful and informative and with that I would like to invite the author and my co-readers to attend The European Summit Affiliate Conference Lisbon/Cascais. Registration is open. 2 - This is not just for beginners on the internet. There are a large amount of marketers that joined to learn more and love it. So the coaxing part you mentioned.... not really there. You can stay a free member but you just don't get the info that premium members get. You seemed to be outraged about that. Well how about you give your services away to anyone that does not want to pay and then charge the ones that think it's worth it. How soon before you are called out and you have no business at all. So that complaint is just non-sense.
Affiliate networks are intermediaries between merchants that sell products and affiliates that promote them. Joining one benefits merchants and affiliates alike. Affiliate networks allow publishers the ability to search through merchants (advertisers) and join them in one place. Furthermore, they allow merchants to reach a larger audience and promote them to all affiliates in the network.
Sell any product on Amazon directly through your Pinterest pins. If you’re in the US, you will need to have a website or blog to get approved. You can earn up to 10% on over one million products. They also help you post links and promote products on your site with banners. While they’re not a network per se, they provide a massive range of products.
Wow what a lot of information - loved the wee video by the way. I've been looking at Wealthy Affiliates on and off for a while now and the closer I get to retiring the more I need to make the leap. I've been put off by lots of the hype around some of the work from home / affiliate offerings but this review and other feedback from Wealthy Affiliates puts my mind at rest a bit. I'm also worried about internet security so, although disappointing that they have to do it, it's quite encouraging to know that the owners are across potential hacker and scammers even if it does mean banning whole countries.
By now, you've likely seen all the "gurus" in your Facebook feed. Some of them are more popular than others. What you'll notice is that the ads you see that have the highest views and engagement are normally the most successful. Use a site like Similar Web to study those ads and see what they're doing. Join their lists and embed yourself in their funnels. That's an important part of the process so that you can replicate and reverse engineer what the most successful marketers are doing.
A 2010 study by the Direct Marketing Association reports that in 2010, marketers —commercial and nonprofit—spent $153.3 billion on direct marketing, which accounted for 54.2% of all ad expenditures in the United States. Measured against total US sales, these advertising expenditures generated approximately $1.798 trillion in incremental sales. In 2010, direct marketing accounted for 8.3% of total US gross domestic product. In 2010, there were 1.4 million direct marketing employees in the US. Their collective sales efforts directly supported 8.4 million other jobs, accounting for a total of 9.8 million US jobs.
